Digesters Maintenance at Ti-Tree Bend 2016

Pfeiffer Cranes annually work alongside Taswater at the sewage treatment plant in Gilmore Street, Invermay. This process consists of lifting the digestors lids with meticulous and precise planning working dual cranes and scooping untreatable product from the digesters.

This process helps reduce odour emissions from the site and allows the digesters to work more efficiently. Odour emissions once the lid is lifted do increase, however, measures are taken to contain any odour to a localized area.
